Banquet Coordinator The Radisson Hotel Schaumburg is seeking a dynamic team player to join our Sales and Catering Department. This position has the potential to grow into a management role, but will begin as administrative support. The individual should be eager to learn and adapt to our current procedures, while bringing new ideas to our department. Although hotel experience is preferred, it is not necessary as we are willing to train the right person. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:           Provide administrative support to the Hotel Catering Manager and Director of Sales           Extensive work with Property Management Software (data input/update, banquet event order creation, etc)           Call existing clients to review upcoming meetings and group bookings           Call prospective clients to bring in new events           Assist the Catering Manager and Director of Sales in ad hoc projects           Potential to grow into the Corporate Sales Manager           Coordinate events with Banquet Department and Front Office 
 
Required Qualifications           Computer proficient - comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel, internet research           Comfortable speaking on the phone with new clients           Minimum of a high school degree 
 
Preferred Qualifications           College degree, hospitality management degree a plus           Experience with event planning or the hospitality industry           Bilingual - English/Spanish, English/Korean, English/Japanese
