A = 1099 is a form provided by a client (or an employer) to an Independent Contractor for tax reporting purposes. With 1099 an Independent Contractor can report his yearly income. 

´ä= 1099 Form À̶õ ¹Ì±¹¿¡¼­ Independent Contractor (I.C.=ûºÎ °è¾àÀÚ)¸¦ À§ÇÑ ¼¼±Ý º¸°í ¼­·ùÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ÇÑÇØ¿¡ ¹ú¾îµéÀÎ IncomeÀ» º¸°íÇϱâ À§ÇÑ ¹æ¹ýÀ¸·Î °í¿ëÁִ ûºÎ °è¾àÀÚ¿¡°Ô ÇØ´çÇÏ´Â 1099 Tax FormÀ» Á¦°øÇÏ°Ô µÅ ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. 

 

Currently a growing number of employers are hiring Independent Contractors instead of employees. Some employers take advantage of their employees by misclassifying them in order to cut employment tax.

In California, most employers hire employees with an At-will clause such that they can terminate employment of employees at will at any time. If your contract reads that your employment can be terminated at your employer’s will, you cannot be classified as an Independent Contractor.
