Overview
Korea International Trade Association (Washington DC Office) is looking for entry level or experienced professionals to assist member companies with broad range of federal, states and local trade-related policies and diverse activities covered by the research department including constructing memos, attending seminars, and business development.
Core Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have following responsibilities:
- Analyzing Trade Related Policies
- Research and analyze U.S. international trade, economic and investment policies
- Construct memos by participating in relevant public hearings and/or seminars hosted by the U.S. Congress, the Administration and related federal agencies, Think Tanks and law/consulting firms
- Research U.S. market trends and construct industry-specific in-depth memos
- Coordinate and support U.S. outreach projects to publicize the mutual benefits of the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA)
- Prepare press release materials on KITA Washington Center’s activities
- Assist in the management and operations of the KITA Washington Center Building and other assets
- Perform other administrative tasks
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, International Relations/Affairs, Political Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of research experience related to business management (including economics), trade, investment trends, market analysis, international relations, politics or public policy
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Fluent in both Korean and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in a business environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or professional experiences that may equivalent to graduate level degree
- Equivalent to native fluency in Korean and English to include reading, writing, and communicating in business professional environment
- An ability to communicate effectively with relevant parties including the U.S. Congress and the Administration, law/consulting firms, Think Tanks, trade associations and the U.S. and Korean business communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and a team player
- Excellent writing, briefing and presentation skills
- High level of strategic thinking and planning
- Familiarity with Hancom Office Suite

- Employment Type: Full-time position with a three-month probationary and training period.
